ITANAGAR, Sept 13: The first state level executive committee meeting of Chief Minister Samast Shiksha Yojana (CMSSY), chaired by education secretary Dr. Madhu Rani Teotia here on Wednesday to finalize annual action plan to allocate Rs four crore for district level plans for bottom-up planning.
OSD (finance) Dani Pyaro, DCs Upper Siang, Anjaw, Kamle and Tirap, directors of higher education, secondary education, ADC, CO, DDSE as representatives of Longding, West Siang, West Kameng, Namsai, Changlang, Lohit, Papumpare, East Kameng, Lower Subansiri, DSPD-ISSE and DDEE (HQs), members of CMSSY present, were briefed about the priority sectors as per guidelines of the scheme, according to an official release.
Teotia stressed on proposals directly which were related to improving academic results. Regular PTA meetings, remedial classes, library books, including newspapers, magazines, school diaries, were given the priority and it was decided to build girls toilets in all schools of districts concerned on priority. New construction and previous year liabilities were kept out of CMSSY purview.
Emphasizing on proper utilization of funds, finance secretary Y Ringu advocated against creation of any liability while Longding, West Kameng, West Siang and Tirap districts gave presentations to the appreciation of the gathering.
However, necessary modifications and amendments were suggested and it was decided that the same criteria should be adopted for approving proposals of those districts which did not attend the meeting.
