Jodo jodo Bharat jodo rents air as international camp begins

KALAKTANG, Sept 13: This picturesque town in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh witnessed the launching of week-long International Youth Leadership camp, the maiden event organized by National Youth Project here on Wednesday.

Clouds played hide and seek over the lush green hills overlooking the venue casting a lasting spell on about 300 youth of both genders from Indonesia and Nepal besides all states and union territories when many quipped “We will continue to enjoy such enchanting natural beauty till September 18 when the camp will conclude.

Jodo jodo Bharat jodo, Kashmir ho Kanya Kumari, Bharat Mata ek hamari, Delhi ho ya Kalaktang,  apna desh apni mati, jodo jodo Bharat jodo, desh ki daulat naujawan, deshki amanat Naujawan”, rented the air as they shouted in unison with NYP-AP president H P Biswas while as non-stop sounds of perennial Nor Gaumuri and Dong Korong Rivers reverberated.

NYP convenor Ashok Kumar Sharan, who served in Arunachal Pradesh state KVIC before taking volunteer retirement, said that though he has been associated with NYP founder-director Dr S N Subba Rao for about 35 years but started NYP camps at the initiative of Biswas. And any officer then coming to Arunachal on transfer never used to consider taking transfer out. October 2, the birthday of Gandhiji has been celebrated as World Sadbhavana Diwas as announced by UN, he added.

Pointing out that social media has been spoiling the minds of young generations; NYP trustee Ravi Narayan advocated putting their minds on right tracks through nation building. And such camps would serve as panacea with its sole motive to propagate peace and development of all sections of the society.

Indonesia Gandhian Agus Indra Udayana, known underscoring the relevance of Gandhian philosophy said that India is not only a very beautiful nation but journey from Itangar to Kaltang was equally charming. This is because “We are one”, he said while the responded in unison.

Vice president Pradeep Kumar, while welcoming one and to experience the uniqueness of Arunachal where the people speak in more than 200 but live in harmony with the nature. He recited self composed song -Arunachal ki Santan – in which Arunchalees in their dialects saying that they are not respective tribe but Arunchalees and Bharat Maa ki sachha santan.

Hindi, Assamese, Urdu, Manipurui, Kashmiri, Telugu, Kunkani, Odiya, Kannad, Gujrathi, Punjabi, Marathi, Malayalam, Sindhi, Bengali, Tamil, Nepali, Sanskrit are official languages making India a wonder of Phul phul khile  hain Gulshan Gulsahan, he added.

While Gandhi Vijay Kumar Singh Yadav, a national runner, known as dhawak (runner) who has been running across the country to propagate Gandhian philosophy, clad in Gandhian dresses and holding tri-colour, explained the relevance of Gandhian philosophy in present complex world.

However, NYP founder-director and freedom fighter Dr S N Subba Rao due to communication hazard arrived here on late Wednesday ight to conduct the camp.

Despite tiredness due to overnight journey, the campers came to the kitchen and joined with the cooks to prepare food stuffs for themselves under the guidance of camp coordinator Promod Biswas and assisted by other NYP coordinators Tapan Biswas, Subu Anga, Habung Ampi, Kago Yakang, Nechi Tana, Chau S Chowtang and Yeshi Wangpu Chhoyu.
