NEELAM, Sept 29: BJP MLA Likha saaya inaugurated a CC road built at an estimated cost of Rs 10 lakh and a rostum worth Rs 20 lakh at general ground here under Deed circle with his MLA LAD fund.
In his address, he announced to sanction Rs 10 lakh for immediate renovation of dilapidated Joram to Koloriang road.
Expressing concern for people of Neelam area who are facing constant power cuts and low voltage problems, he promised to provide a transformer with his own fund.
The villagers submitted a 7-point memorandum seeking his intervention to build roads from main highway to Gai Putu (4-km ) and new one from Neelam to Nadra Pada (3.5km), 2-km village internal road from Joram-Koloring to Broom Garden at Kach, 1.5-km road from cooperative Geka to Kach general ground, fund for Neelam Youth Club office building, multipurpose auditorium Hall and rejuvenation of water supply line at new Neelam.
Terming their demands very genuine, Saaya said that Rs one crore has been sanctioned for laying CC roads and to address others grievances as mentioned in the memorandum.
However, he said that he will first address the crucial road connectivity problems and water supply, thereafter will look into other demands.
Later, chairing a development meeting, he said that Yachuli, neglected by previous Govt, is enjoying uninterrupted development in all spheres after BJP came to power.
Concerned over false rumours being spread by his political rivals to ruin his hard earned political career , he urged people not to succumb to such rumours spread by unscrupulous people to gain political mileage.
Reiterating his commitment to develop Yachuli constituency as a model, he said that he has been trying hard for the overall development.
Yachuli ADC J.T Toko advised youth to shun drugs and take up their studies seriously to become worthy human beings. He also urged the teachers to impart quality education.
Incharge Lower Subansiri district BJP in-charge Vishal P Nabam in his address said that BJP is only a political party with a difference with equal development on its agenda.
