ITANAGAR, Oct 30: Chief secretary Satya Gopal, chairing a meeting of state task force on mobility asked transport department to come out with innovative ideas to improve conventional mobility of the state and to take it to a different level, where it is practical, cheap yet have a last line connectivity.
While reiterating address of Prime Minister in global mobility meet (MOVE) in New Delhi on September 7 last, he said that the future of state’s mobility should be based on the 7Cs of common, connected, convenient, congestion-free, charged, clean, and cutting-edge as pointed out by the PM.
The meeting decided to constitute a committee headed by Dr. A.C. Verma and other senior officers to list out challenges, ideas and suggest the GoAP innovative solutions through which different issues of mobility can be solved.
All technological solutions however should be taken keeping in view pros and cons of environment issues, he added.
The meeting, attended by home commissioner, transport and finance secretaries, discussed electronic transport system like e-buses and e-rickshaws, according to an official release.
