PASIGHAT, Nov 10: Exhorting the people to be agents of positive change, CM’s advisor-cum-MLA Lombo Tayeng said that Pema Khandu led Govt was committed to develop landlocked Arunachal Pradesh.
Many promises have been fulfilled by the GoAP by giving priority to all welfare schemes, Tayeng said while addressing a public meeting at Siluk Dere under Mebo sub-division on Friday.
Reiterating the GoAP commitment to develop rural areas, he said that works were on to upgrade rural infrastructure besides focused attention on socio-economic uplift. The Sarkar apke dwar pe camp has been very successful to receive appreciated from across the state.
He highlighted various GoAP achievements, including health and insurance, income generation, agriculture & horticulture promotion schemes and lauded role of party functionaries in paving way for rapid development of Mebo subdivision. He advised the officers to work with missionary zeal and ensure that better infrastructures are created in their respective tenures. Routine inspections should be done to keep a tab on pilferage to ensure work quality as durable infrastructure could be created by maintaining standards during execution, he reasoned.
Tayeng, who had distributed CGI sheets to 97 beneficiaries on September 13 last, distributed CGI sheets to 38 left-out households under non-border development programme. Prominent leader Aku Borang and GBs also spoke.
Tayeng accompanied by Mebo ADC Hage Lilang, engineers, officers and leaders later visited proposed site at Mebo for upgrading police station. (DIPRO)
