PANGIN, Nov 28: The I&B Ministry’s Pasighat unit field outreach bureau (FOB) organized a rally-cum-awareness programme and swachhta activities as a special outreach programme on Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) at GHS School here on Wednesday.
It aimed at creating mass awareness about cleanliness and included a mass social service.
PHED AE Osem Mongku, speaking as resource person, highlighted about SBM to make India clean. He urged all not allow their cattle to move freely to make environment dirty.
Stressing on importance of cleanliness, GHSS principal Gogon Panor said that all have responsibility to educate their children about cleanliness and green environment.
Field publicity officer Mihir Kumar Jha also addressed about 500 students, teachers & villagers. A quiz competition on cleanliness conducted and winners were awarded.
At Kaspi: Bomdila FOB unit conducted similar programme here in collaboration with Tenga PHED and local former PRI members and included an awareness rally, quiz & rural sports competitions and meeting.
PHED JE SN Maurya informed that solid liquid waste management will be built in their villages this year with a total cost of Rs.7 lakh by the PHED under SBM (Gramin). Kaspi former ASM Bordolai Mosbu said that people of his village will benefit a lot from such awareness campaigns.
