DDU GKY rolls out with MoU inking

PASIGHAT, Dec 30: Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU GKY), a flagship programme aimed at placement linked skill development of Union RD Ministry, was rolled out in this state with igning of 1st DDU GKY MoUs on Sunday.

Two MoU with were signed with Baba Saheb Ambedkar Technical Education Society (BSATES) and Dadi Hamgio Charitable Society in a function attended by Panchayati Raj, H&FW Minister Alo Libang and RD & PR Special Secretary Shri Nyali Ete. The programme will commence from January onwards.

Libang, in his address, assured support of the GoAP to the PIAs and conveyed his willingness to intervene to facilitate smooth and time bound implementation of all programmes. He congratulated PIAs and ArSRLM team for the MoUs.

Experience of first few PIAs would be instrumental in streamlining implementation of programme, he said and exhorted them to ensure considering all districts and blocks for mobilisation. He also called for catering to remote locations and adopt a process that uniformly covering all locations from Longding to Tawang.

Ete urged the PIAs to initiate work including mobilisation of rural poor youth and suggested preparatory work must commence as enforcement of code of conduct during forthcoming elections would hlat implementation works.He advised ArSRLM to take up the matter with MoRD and technical support agency for ensuring enabling support to agencies within the state.

Earlier CEO-cum- ArsRLM state mission director Tabin Siga and chief operating officer Dr. Rakesh Srivastava also spoke, according to an official release.
