Cong to return to power after 2019 assembly polls: Pario

ITANAGAR, Jan 10: The Congress party will rise again in the state with majority in 2019 assembly election, Arunachal Pradesh Congress Legislative Party (CLP) leader Takam Pario said, adding “We are positive in our vision to win as  party workers are working at grassroots level to understand the needs and wants of the people.”

Addressing development meetings in various circles of Kra Daadi district, particularly at Kembang and Restaring where hundreds of people joined the party on Thursday, Pario urged the villagers not to be fooled by any candidate and cast vote for development rather for mere money.

He asked the new comers to work for the integrity of the state and development of the district in particular, but told reporters that it is very sad to know that few candidates from the opposition party are luring voters from the villages in assurance of jobs to their family members.

“It has been known by my sources that many of the voters have been convinced of getting Govt jobs. But it is not possible under Staff Selection Board (SSB) and people should be aware of false promises,” he said.

When questioned about pathetic approach road to Tarak Langdi village, he said that this would be my first priority to build a good road and ensure other basic necessities, like electricity, water supply, health, education and transportation.

“Though there is need for road carpeting at various circles and villages, but one should know that it was at my initiative the road was built which is facilitating to reach here within a day today,” Pario said, adding earlier there was no road and the people used to  walk for almost three days to reach their villages.
