NAHARLAGUN, Jan 12: Enrolment of 17,500 beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSB), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Yojana (CMAAY) by All Arunachal Pradesh Public Transport Federation (AAPPTF) in collaboration with Capital district administration has created a record of sort in Arunachal Pradesh.
The AAPPTF team led by president Dobing Sonam has been consistently working in Capital Complex for which Capital DC has asked AAPPTF to conduct such camp at Naharlagun for three days from January 5 but it was extended till January 11 as the flow of beneficiaries continued unabated during 9 am to 5 pm daily.
Sonam, who has been uninterruptedly announcing over mike about the schemes and pleading people to get enrolled, was assisted by 10 volunteers including three girls.
In fact, AAPPTF in such camp a Itanagar during December 27-29 had facilitated enrolment of 2,400 and 420 under CMAAY and PMSB-PMJJBY while at Naharlagun the number rose to 10,480 (CMAAY) and 2,100 (PMSB) and 2,100 (PMJJBY), organizing chairman Dabo Loda told this daily, adding that 240 new bank accounts have also been opened.
However, advocate Loya Dolok, who came for enrolment, said that people in large were unaware of such beneficial schemes and my presence itself is its proof. He advocated that AAPPTF having units in all 26 districts should be made service provider by the state Govt as people in far flung areas are still ignorant of such beneficial Govt schemes.
The CMAAY mooted present Govt of CM Pema Khandu to replace Chief Minister Universal Health Insurance Scheme (CMUHIS) conceived by former Chief Minister Nabam Tuki, will be dovetailed with the GoI’s Ayushman Bharat National Health Protection Mission.CMAAY will enable citizens to avail cashless health services in empanelled hospitals through a web portal-based software developed and implemented by MDIndia. The scheme will offer health care services of up to Rs 5 lakh per family per year with a vision to offer universal health care to all by 2020.
The GoI PMSBY is available to people between 18 and 70 years of age with bank accounts with an annual premium of Rs 12 exclusive of taxes. The accident insurance scheme will have one year cover from June 1 to May 31 and would be offered through banks and administered through PSU insurance companies. In case of accidental death or full disability, the payment to the nominee will be Rs 2 lakh and in case of partial permanent disability Rs 1 lakh.
The GoI PMJJBY is a renewal term insurance policy that, provides a yearly life insurance coverage of Rs. 2 lakh in case of death at an yearly premium of Rs. 330. The policy is available to people of 18 to 50 years age group.
