AVYS blood donation camp today at RKMH to save life

ITANAGAR, Mar 30: With RKM Hospital and TRIMHS at Naharlagun facing acute shortage of blood that has delayed operation of serious patients besides treatment of cancer and kidney patients, Arunachal Voluntary Blood Donor Organisation, a unit of Vivekanada Yuva Shakti (AVYS), has decided to conduct a voluntary blood donation camp RKMH on Sunday.

AVYS chairman Ramesh Jeke Tatung, after touring various colleges, schools and security establishments to seek support for joining the humanitarian mission, told this daily over telephone that many youths of both sexes and security personnel have consented to donate blood voluntarily.

Organised by the AVYS, doctors and lab technicians of RKMH assisted by State Blood Transmission Council will conduct the camp.

It may be mentioned here that 19 units of blood were donated during such a  camp organized in Hills College of Teachers’ Education (HCTE), Lekhi on Thursday last.
