Voters’ turn out up to 75.33%, says ACEO

ITANAGAR, Apr 13:  The voters’ turn out of Arunachal Pradesh rose to 75.33%, including male73.14% and female 77.47%, additional chief electoral officer (ACEO) Kanki Darang said on Saturday.
Pointing out that hilly topography was posing challenges, he informed that polling teams from 21 Assembly seats returned to their respecting EVM collection centres taking the number to 55 while the teams of Palin, Nyapin, Tali and Koloriang seats of Kurung Kumey district and Nacho seat of Upper Subansiri district are yet to return.
Polling teams from 34 Assembly seats had returned on Friday and the rest were returning mostly by foot march and many teams while returning back on foot from places without road connectivity cross rivers and streams (shown in pictures) with election material making the process time consuming, he added.
Simultaneous elections to two Lok Sabha and 57 Assembly elections were conducted on April 11 last.
