AIIMS honours Helping Hands as ambassador of blood bank

NEW DELHI, June 14: All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) in a rare gesture honoured NGO Helping Hands for mobilising maximum blood donation in North East blood bank under AIIMS blood bank during World Blood Donor Day-2019 here on Friday.

AIIMS director Prof. Randeep Guleria, HoD (trauma & critical centre) Prof. Rajesh Malhotra and HoD (blood bank) Prof. Poonam Kaushik felicitated Helping Hands founder Robin Hibu for ensuring no NE patient die for want of blood through selfless service of its members.

Reciprocating the gesture, Hibu, present special commissioner Delhi Police, said this honour would energize all its members to work for the cause of humanity with greater zeal.

The AIIMS blood bank authority has authorized him to SMS its blood bank about blood requirement 24×7 for them to issue blood to needy North East patients.

Meanwhile, the Helping Hands will hold multipurpose mega health camp to offer cancer screening test and blood donation camp involving the AIIMS for NE people in Munirka community hall soon. The camp targets to benefit  all NE  employees working in BPOs, malls, private industries, guards, maids, poor students, unemployed NE youths.
