AMSU moves DC to solve various problems

TEZU, Aug, 08: Expressing serious concern over various problems, All Mishmi Students’ Union (AMSU) has sought immediate intervention of Lohit DC, particularly existing  wine shops with single license near VKV here, irregularity in opening and closing timings, illegal sale of wine up to late night, haphazard parking near main traffic point Saru Hotel, Lohit Cooperative Shop and Pinky Market, rampant illegal practice of hunting & fishing by Govt. employees, several restaurant operating along the right of way (ROW) of NH–13 and,  domestic animals roaming freely along the NH.

Pointing out at limited ATM facilities, the AMSU in a memorandum to the DC, urged to install one more ATM within zonal hospital campus to benefit the patients.

Moreover, it also drew attention towards common practices of illegal quarrying at Duraliang, Changliang and Zeeku villages making susceptible to flood menace which could affect livestock, agriculture and the villages.

This district HQs town has been suffering due to unethical and illegitimate system being operated by some self centric traders and individual, it said and urged the DC to take urgent remedial steps.
