Bagra terms OWA a role model, assures all help  

NAHARLAGUN, Aug 30: Oju Welfare Association (OWA) is a role model in Arunachal Pradesh, Industries, Skill Development, Textile & Handicraft, Trade & Commerce Minister Tumke Bagra said after inspecting and taking stock of its numerous ongoing activities in the institution here on Friday

While addressing OWA fraternity, he recalled his association with OWA founder chairperson Binny Yanga in 1988 when only a school was initially set up. Impressed with its activities, he assured to extend all possible support to strengthen the institution and enhance its outreach and in take capacity in various training center, especially in handloom & handicrafts sector, according to an OWA release.

Earlier, OWA chairperson Ratan Anya briefed Bagra, who was accompanied with textile and handicraft director Haj Dodung and other dignitaries, ongoing OWA schemes, including  Women Helpline-181, children home, state’s lone specialized adoption agency, Swadhar Greh, lone short stay home for women in distress, legal aid clinic, vocational training units.
