ITANAGAR, Dec 07: Three Arunachal Pradesh artisans from will be giving a live demonstration of state’s unique traditional crafts in annual India-Japan Summit, scheduled in Guwahati on December 16 India and Japan Prime Ministers are expected to attend.
Two headgears of Nyishi and Adi tribes have been selected for demonstration to showcase progress of the craft and the craftsmen would present finest headgears to both PMs. This was known during video conferencing of chief secretary Naresh Kumar with NEC, Shillong on Friday.
Terming this as a great opportunity to showcase state’s age-old traditional craft in an International platform, Kumar suggested industry secretary N.T. Glow to display headgears of different tribes in the background of state stall and all artisans should be in their traditional attires. (PRO)
