ITANAGAR, May 09: Procure fast classes-I to XII textbooks to provide to students on reopening of schools after lockdown ends, Governor Brig. (Retd) B.D. Mishra advised secretary education Niharika Rai in presence of Education Minister Taba Tedir at Raj Bhawan here on Saturday.
While reviewing important issues to strengthen state education sector, he also stressed on 100% posting of head master to all Govt schools, proper management and supervision in greater academic interest.
The Governor, Based on his extensive tour and personal interaction with teachers and students, he suggested rationalization of subject teachers’ posting so that studies of students do not suffer. All teachers should be willing to work in remote schools in tune with their professional commitment, he said.
While reviewing progress of campus development of Niglok Sainik School, he advocated conducive and favourable environment with proper planning for it to achieve excellence to offer best educational opportunity to state students. He asked Rai to regularly monitor development of its infrastructure with quality to ensure timely completion.
The discussion covered progress of opening three new KVs at Daporijo, Hawai and Namsai and construction of school buildings including pre-fabricated structure 60 students of Niglok Sainik School.
Earlier, Tedir and Rai briefed the governor about academic progress, challenges confronting education sector and precautions taken to fight against COVID-19 pandemic. (PRO)
