AALO, Sept 19: The electrification in daily market of this district HQs would ensure comforts not only for sellers and buyers too, Aalo East lawmaker Kento Jini after inaugurating here on Saturday to the applause of traders.
Lights and fans have been installed in market sheds stretching more than 100m span to benefit the traders, particularly womenfolk who sit from dawn to dusk round the year to sell their commodities, Jini said.
MLA Jini, who was accompanied by BDO, announced to pay electric bills for one year and urged Marketing Committees (MCs) to work out ways to pay electric bills and ensure safety of all electric equipments.
He also announced to develop all market sheds with concrete structure to beautify the area in future and exhorted all stakeholders to keep the surrounding neat and clean besides maintain SOPs during prevailing COVID-19 pandemic as infection is likely to intensify in November next.
After hearing various problems from members of MCs, he said that water logging and accumulation
of dirt in market areas and blockage of drains in many places. He sought cooperation to streamline the market area to make space for drains works in future.
Informing that Trans-Arunachal Highway would soon pass through market areas, he said that proper drainage system mandatory for a good road has to be developed in front of shop buildings.
MC president, in his address, while highlighting various chronic problems, lauded the MLA for his initiative to electrify market sheds. (DIPRO)
