Itanagar, Oct 29: Governor Brig (Retd) BD Mishra on Thursday reviewed the preparation for the forthcoming Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Combined Competitive Examination (APPSCCE) prelims.
During the meeting at Raj Bhavan here, the Governor emphasised that all steps must be taken in advance to ensure free and fair conduct of the preliminary examination by Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC).
He said that every official including those of APPSC and district administration must take full responsibility and they will be held accountable to conduct the examination in a foolproof manner.
Citing that APPSC examinations are the most important competitive examinations of the state as the best and most meritorious candidates are selected through its process, the Governor said, “Therefore, it is mandatory that the procedure must be transparent, above board. No copying, impersonation, or malpractice in writing answers should be allowed in the examination centres. In these matters, there must be no loose ends.”
He advised Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar and Director General of Police RP Upadhyaya to take all actions for the proper conduct of the examination. He also asked the APPSC members to monitor and ensure proper conduct of every stage of the examination.
Chairman, APPSC, Nipo Nabam and member, Major General (Retd) GS Bisht, briefed the Governor about the arrangements for the ensuing examination, which will be conducted on November 1.
The examination will be conducted at 126 examination sub centres including 52 in the Capital region. All together 26,480 candidates will be appearing for the prelims.
BSNL General Manager Arung Siram, Director, Department of Telecom HL Nongkhlaw ,Commissioner to Governor Sagar Preet Hooda also attended the meeting.
