BJP team takes stock of road progress

ITANAGAR, Feb 24: A team of BJP leaders led by vice president Tarh Tarak visited the ongoing four lane road project from Chandranagar to Zero Point Tinali here on Wednesday.

The team also visited underpass work and took stock of the work progress.

Later talking to reporters, Tarak claimed that the two lane Chandranagar bridge is nearing completion and it would be ready for use by the first week of March this year.

“The underpass work is also progressing very rapidly. There is every possibility that the work will be completed before the three months target given by the state government,” claimed Tarak.

The BJP leader also stated that the four lane road project would be completed on March 31, as promised by Chief Minister Pema Khandu.

“Apart from underpass and bridges, the remaining stretch will be completed. The carpeting work is going on in full swing and should be completed by the target as assured by chief minister,” he added.
