ITANAGAR, April 08: Keeping the last mile connectivity in view, chief secretary Naresh Kumar reviewed status of road connectivity to Tali ADC headquarter of Kra Daadi district in a meeting here on Wednesday.
PWD chief engineer (CZ-A) Hage Apa briefed the status of road being the 69-km Talariang-Yangte-Tali road (Part 1) adding and Part 2 being the 10-km Kabak-Sojam stretch is being built by the PWD.
The Part 1 includes Kumey Bridge on Yangte-Tali road which unfortunately collapsed on March 28h last due unforeseen wind, he said, adding the under construction bridge with 26 number arch ribs on left bank collapsed which needs to be recovered re-erected. The recovery of collapsed arch ribs has started.
The CS asked the PWD to ensure not to compromise with quality of materials to be used for the bridge and high standard workmanship maintained.
He directed the CE to visit the site to offer technical guidance for early completion, appoint an independent agency to monitor to check work quality. He, however, assured allocation of funds.
