DAPORIJO, Aug 30: A day after the 132 KV Daporijo-Aalo transmission line logged a fault near here, the power department has been unable to locate the exact point of the fault.
On Sunday, department technicians cleared the transmission line up to Tode village at tower location no 90.
A department official said the transmission wing responsible for Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of Daporijo-Aalo line tried to locate the fault in between Tode village and Aalo on Monday. However, the exact point of fault could not be located.
The official said the department’s technicians inspected the suspected transmission line corridor and found that there were no vegetation disturbances.
The zeroing of Insulation and Resistance (IR) value ended in between tower no 149 to 152, the official said.
The official said the nature of fault anywhere is a probable case of porcelain disc puncture.
We will resume complete zeroing on Tuesday, the official said.
Continuous rainfall hampered locating the fault and due to darkness, we had to wind up work, the official added.
Meanwhile, the department has requested consumers to bear the inconvenience.
