KHONSA, Sept 14: Appreciating good deeds of lone de-addiction-cum-rehabilitation centre of Tirap district, christened as ‘Care Me Home’, while inspecting it here on Tuesday, Eastern Arunachal MP Tapir Gao gifted an ambulance and Rs one lakh for volleyball and carom board items.
Tirap is one of three districts of the state close to Golden Triangle located in nearby Myanmar world’s second largest producer of illicit opium. Thus, drugs trafficked from Golden Triangle reach this district which has been spoiling mostly the younger generations, Gao said and exhorted all involved in de-addiction process to ensure that that those who recover never get trapped by drugs again in greater welfare of the society.
MP Gao, state president-cum-MLA Biyuram Wahge along with ZPC inspected oxygen plant of district hospital, which is under installation.
MP Gao is part of a BJP team, including national general secretary-cum-MP Dilip Saikia, GS (Org, NE Zone) Ajay Jamwal, state president Biyuram Wahge, vice president Tarh Tarak, GS-cum-MLA Chao Zingnu Namchoom, secretaries Ananta Narayan Mishra (Org) & Taring Tiri, which is on a three-day tour of Tirap, Changlang and Longding districts as desired by the PMO.
