PONGCHAU, Jan 12: The Kamhua Noknu PHC under Khakam block inaugurated in December 2018 by chief minister could not function properly and made lot of effort to make it fully functional after arranging required medical staff and other items, said Pongchau-Wakka MLA-cum-RWD Minister Honchun Ngandam.
He along with DC Bani Lego and other senior officers visited the PHC on Wednesday and interacted with medical officers and others staff on their problems and any local issue requiring any support of the Govt.
Earlier, patient were facing lot of problems to reach district headquarter hospital by covering long distance. But, this PHC has offered succor to them now, he said.
On COVID-19 pandemic, he called for special precautionary steps and directed the DC to issue direction to prevent spread of the disease by spreading mass awareness, ensure safety measures at check gate and open places.(PRO)
