Army rescues accident victims in U-Siang

ITANAGAR, Jan 20: Troops of Spear Corps of the Indian Army, rescued two accident victims from a 150 m deep gorge on Tuesday at Migging in Upper Siang district of the state.

A civil truck in which both the victims were travelling went out of the driver’s control and fell  off the road into a gorge  near Migging, a defence communiqué informed here on Thursday.

The drivers and the co-drivers of the ill fated vehicle were recovered by the detachment of Indian Army present at Migging.

Later the victims were provided first aid by a civil nurse at Migging and further they were evacuated to Govt Hospital at Yingkiong for treatment by a civil ambulance, the communiqué added.
