AALO, Mar 30:Aalo East MLA Kento Jini along with West Siang DC Penga Tato, ZPC Babom Romin Thursday inaugurated the Hissam Village near here.
HGB of the village Koge Lollen informed that earlier the place was settled by leprosy patients from various tribes of the state and later they were cured and permanently settled there.
Former minister Doi Ado coined the Hissam Village and under his guidance as MLA during 90s Hissam primary school was established, GBs were appointed, community hall was constructed.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA congratulates the people of the village and urged them to maintain communal harmony among others and appealed the Galos to guide other tribes of Hissam villages as they are Galos, Adis, Nyishis etc.
The code of Hissam village is 623572 as initiated by the MLA.
He also urged the people of the village to feel the importance of education and health and appealed them to keep the village neat and clean.
The DC appealed the people with bonhomie and said that GBs and elders of the village have to help the district administration to eradicate the drug menace. (DIPRO)
