4 Arunachalee karatekas to represent India in South Asian Karate Champ

ITANAGAR, Nov 27: The Arunachal Pradesh Amateur Karate-Do Association (APAKA) has sent four players to represent India in 7th  South Asian Karate Championship & Cadet, Junior, U-21 and Senior slated to be conducted during November 28  to December at Nepal capital Kathmandu,.

They are Machi Liyak (-45kg Cadet/individual Kumite), Pala Dodum (-67kg under 21/individual Kumite), Khyoda Talik (Junior individual Kata) and Lipin Ete (Junior individual Kata, female). All are gold medalists of KIO National and KIO Zonal Karate Championship recently concluded at New Delhi’s Talkatora indoor stadium, according to APAKA joint secretary Boken Tatu. Coach Dr. Marli Ete also accompany them.

APAKA general secretary Shihan John Bagang on Monday briefed them about the championship and asked them to be in disciplined, president Kyoshi Yarda Niki wished them good luck to win laurels for the country, treasurer Shihan Rakom Dugi briefed them about the technicalities and Arunachal Olympic Association treasurer Kyoshi Bulang Marik advised them about the challenges they would face.
