Create mass awareness on NFSA rules: Sona to APFC

ITANAGAR, Feb 07: Arunachal Pradesh Food Commission (APFC) should implement National Food Safety Act (NFSA) rules in later and spirit and creating mass awareness for greater benefit of the society, said Assembly Speaker P D Sona while addressing media persons here on Wednesday after launching its website.

Hinting at vital role of APFC, Sona said that its delayed constitution delayed meeting target may to make consumers understand their rights and duties. Anyone intending file any grievance related to food items could approach local district administration and if not redressed, should approach the with APFC for justice.

If the complainant needs any support may approach the GoAP, he said and hoped that APFC website would help people know about NFSA rules and its activities.

APFC chairman Dr. Lekiki Wangchuk, members Habung Donyi,  Nanon Jamoh & Rillang Chege, family welfare director Dr T C Khrimey, food & civil supplies director Dr. Runi Tasung an FCI DGM, among others, also spoke.
