8th Asian Taekwondo Poomsae Championships | Bayor wins India’s 1st Asian medal

ITANAGAR, May 14: In a historic event for the country, Rupa Bayor won India’s 1st Asian medal in Individual Recognized Poomsae Senior-1 event in Vietnam at the 8th Asian Taekwondo Poomsae Championships on Tuesday.

Sanctioned by World Taekwondo, a G4 ranking event, Rupa beat Pakistan Malaysia and eventually losing to Korea in the semi finals, according to national office bearer of Taekwondo Federation.

Rupa Bayor is the lone taekwondo player of Arunachal Pradesh to be included in Indian contingent for her excellent performances in the past events.
