Arunachal forward areas toured by defence experts

HAWAI, May 19:  Indian Army conducted a week-long tour to forward areas for defence experts toeing Atma Nirbharata in defecne as well as boost civil-military bonhomie.

The tour facilitated the seven defence experts to get a first-hand experience on operational and administrative challenges faced by troops deployed in forward areas of Arunachal Pradesh.

Thus, they were motivated to formulate inventive technological solutions to such problems. The experts from defence industries, startups and academicians begun their tour May 12, On their arrival at Dinjan Military Station in Assam’s Dibrugarh and were oriented towards operational perspective, including terrain dynamics, surveillance, logistics problems and various defence requirements. They visited forward areas in Anjaw district along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) for next three days to gain insights about the operational and logistics challenges.

They also visited Namsai army establishments and interacted with senior officers who acquainted them with challenges related to surveillance, habitat, communications and logistics, according to an official press release.
