ITANAGAR, Feb 13: The Students United Movement of Arunachal Pradesh (SUMAP) recalled its meeting with Union MoS (Home Affairs) Kiren Rijiju to seek his intervention for 80% reservation for state’s ST for recruitment of 29 security assistants, advertised by Intelligence Bureau of MoHA for online registration.
Rijiju had assured to look into the matter, but now no concrete step is visible till now though the examination for recruitment is scheduled on February 17 next, SUMAP claimed in a release.
Expressing dismay, it said that the posts were rationally allocated against each state maintaining ST/OBC/SC quota as per existing rules. But no reservation was given for ST of Arunachal Pradesh while only one post out of total is reserved for SC whereas Arunachal Pradesh is a ST dominated state. This had moved SUMAP delegation to draw Rijiju attention.
