RONO HILLS, Feb 19: Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) VC Prof. Saket Kushwaha signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Bhopal-based India and School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) director Prof. N. Sridharan here on Tuesday.
The MoU aims at a collaborative effort in research, education to develop a combined structure while creating a synergy between varsity level and professional education for students in an academically mutually benefitting way.
The VC termed the MOU, aims at providing new avenues for access, sharing and developing technical knowhow between both organizations, as a welcome step and expressed his optimism that it will be action oriented to yield result.
Prof. Sridharan said that a time framed and evaluation based performance will be executed jointly beginning with awareness programme in near future and agreed to take at least two RGU students for SPA internship.
RGU registrar (in-charge) Prof. Tomo Riba, controller of examination (in-charge) Dr. Nani Tamang Jose and joint registrar (academic & conference) Dr. David Pertin and SPA assistant Prof (design) Dr. Sourabh Tewari, addressing deans and HoDs, spoke on importance of joint venture in present context, according to a RGU release.
