ITANAGAR, Feb 19: The days of seeing women as ‘home makers’ have gone as they are seen as crucial for growth of the country, Chief Minister Pema Khandu told Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) members in his office here on Tuesday.
Hinting at PM Narendra Modi’s vision for women empowerment, the CM said when women are responsible and empowered, entire society stands to benefit. That is why women empowerment is high priority agenda of his Govt.
As the team led by its chairperson Radhilu Chai Techi called on him and highlighted on important issues related to welfare of women and girl child, Khandu congratulated the new members and assured his support to strengthen PSCW. (CMO)
