ITANAGAR, May 22: In all 33 companies of AAPBn and IRBn and around 38 companies CAPF provided by MoHA, besides civil police will maintain law and order to ensure free, fair and peaceful counting on Thursday.
Two-tier arrangement will be made at all counting centres. Reserve police force equipped with anti-riot gear and weapons will be kept in ready in all districts to respond to any emergency in quickest possible time. Special anti-riot vehicles and equipment will be used by the police teams. Important areas would be videographed by persons specially deployed for the purpose. Armed cut offs would also be placed at important routes to prevent exit of any miscreants in case of any mischief.
All district SsP have been instructed to develop intelligence about any law and order problem that can arise after counting process and make adequate arrangements for that. The PHQ would be closely monitoring law and order situation through regular communication through its independent wireless network. (PRO)
