Felix mass awareness on HAA yields results

ITANAGAR, Sept 29: Home Minister Bamang Felix, continuing his mass awareness on Hamara Arunachal Abhiyan (HAA) proposed to be  launched at I G Park here on  Oct 2 next to commemorate 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, addressed students union leaders here on Saturday.

Felix appraised representatives of AAPSU, district students’ unions, RGU Students’ Union (RGSU), Chandigarh Students’ Union and representation of some community based youth organizations &  state police of HAA objectives and its requirement in prevailing scenario of the state, according to an official reease.

Hailing home department initiative, MLA Hayang Mangfi, a former student leader, pledged his full support in achieving its goal. He strongly advocated for active participation of students and youths who could be instrumental in bring changes at ground level.

AAPSU president Hawa Bagang, and other executive members including RGUSU president, Kra-Dadi, Lower Siang, Kamle, Upper Subansiri & West Kameng, while speaking unanimously agreed to be HAA ambassadors.

Felix during meeting here on Saturday with ex-councillors, executive members of ACCI, AAPPTF, BWCs & sector committees, made an ardent plea to be part of HAA in greater state interest. The quest for safe, secure and serene Arunachal may not be achieved without active involvement of every citizen, he said with conviction.

Highly praising the initiative, all participants univocally assured their full participation in HAA.
