APCC padyatra to expose BJP’s misrule | Tuki castigates NDA for inflation, selling public assets

ITANAGAR, Nov 29: The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) Monday organized a ‘Padyatara’ (foot march), as part of the party’s nationwide campaign, “Jan Jagran Abhiyan’ against inflation under the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre.

The foot march which began from the residence of former Chief Minister Nabam Tuki at Sagalee, culminated at Rach-Tabio village where, hundreds of Congress workers and office bearers participated.

The padyatra was organized by the Block Congress Committee of Sagalee.

Tuki in his address said that the Padyatra is a part of the nationwide campaign of the party to create awareness among the people on unparallel inflation of every commodity under the BJP regime.

“The voice of the people should be heard by the ruling government. We will raise our voice in both inside and outside the parliament for the sake of common people,” Tuki said adding, the people of the country are in frustration, especially the youths.

The incumbent MLA added that the BJP government made only false promises like hike in GDP, to create crores of jobs for youths, free LPGs, but in reality there was no any mechanism in governance.

“Crores of youths are unemployed, GDP is down and prices of commodities are skyrocketing,” he said adding, the saffron party is selling the assets created by the Congress government and instead of preserving and utilising them to generate jobs and boost the economy of the country,” Tuki added.

He suggested the state government to focus more on the issues of the common people instead of promising lip services.
