Quake mock drill by NDRF

ITANAGAR, Dec 29: Doimukh-based 2nd NDRF in collaboration with the Capital district administration on Wednesday conducted a mock exercise on an earthquake at the JN State Museum here.

The NDRF team was led by deputy commandant PN Singh. The exercise was conducted as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

A scenario of an earthquake was created and with the cooperation of the director of Research, the whole process of rescue and operation and evacuation was successfully conducted.

The team also demonstrated the use of medical first aid.

DDMO Moromi Dodum Sonam said the exercise was well coordinated and everyone was well aware of their roles and responsibilities.

The exercise concluded with a debriefing session by Batem Pertin Research Director with all the stakeholders after completion of the mock exercise. (DIPRO)
