PASIGHAT, May 08: A free health consultation camp was conducted recently by Siang Trust at remote Mer village in East Siang district, one of the interior villages not connected by road due the Taro Tamak River.
Specialists, including senior surgeon Dr Bomni Tayeng, Dr Saibal Bhattacharjee, Dr Runi Tasung, Dr Lung Perme Panging, medical staff and Siang Trust Vice president Group Captain (Rtd) Mohonto Panging Pao attended the health camp.
This was second such camp in Mer village conducted by Siang Trust, which had offered tests for blood pressure and sugar and all patients were given free medicines.
Over 70 needy patients from Mer, Gadum, Tinali including an over 100-year-old patient benefited from the health camp.
The Siang Trust is regularly conducting free health consultation camps in remote villages and more such camps are in offing. (DIPRO)
