ITANAGAR, June 21: As Arunachal Pradesh has been facing the onslaught of heavy rain on arrival of the monsoon, the road between Hunli and Upper Dibang Valley district HQs Anini was damaged on Thursday disrupting traffic movement, according to official sources.

Surface communication to Dibang Valley district was snapped after a stretch of National Highway-313 connecting Lower Dibang Valley district HQs Roing with Anini caved in due to incessant rain triggered landslide on Wednesday.

The district administration has deployed workers and machinery to restore connectivity on a war footing, but would take few days to clear the debris and ensure traffic movement, an officer said, adding that all out efforts are being made to facilitate plying of light vehicles as soon as possible.
