Pink Patrolling for safety of women mooted by CM laudable: APPWWS

ITANAGAR, June 21: Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society (APWWS) has lauded initiative of the state Govt headed by Chief Minister Pema Khandu for safety of the womenfolk.

Pointing out that the CM recently had expressed his commitment to enhancing women’s safety and promoting gender equality in the state, APWWS central executive committee president Kani Nada Maling, in a statement on Friday, said that his commitment has raised positive hope for state women.

“CM Khandu has said that Team Arunachal Pradesh will amplify efforts to strengthen Pink Patrolling with police control room (PCR) vehicles as part of ongoing measures to enhance women’s safety and gender equality reflecting best of governance for our communities, a symbol of faith for us,” she said.

Thus, the APWWS wholeheartedly appreciated such proactive decision to introduce Pink Patrolling with advanced PCR vehicle dedicated to enhancing women’s safety. This initiative marks a significant step forward in ensuring a secure environment for women across the state by swift responses to any incident.

“We have high expectations that this will lead to tangible improvement in women’s safety and well-being and the society and optimistic that the state Govt would  continue to prioritize welfare of women and children, implementing more such progressive measures and bringing significant positive changes in their lives, she added.
