Changlang DC issues anti-ragging guidelines

ITANAGAR, July 10: Changlang DC Vishal Sah DC has issued an anti-ragging guidelines on Tuesday to prevent any kind of ragging activities inside the education institutions across the district after recent ragging of  Jawahar Bordumsa Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) 15 students leaving them injured.

The DC has directed all heads of Govt, Govt-aided, and private schools to strictly adhere to the guidelines to ensure a healthy atmosphere in schools. All students and parents were made to sign an ‘anti-ragging undertaking’ mandatorily at the time of admission followed by an anti-ragging pledge by the students.

He has also directed the school management committee (SMC) to visit all residential schools weekly and submit reports to the DDSE while endorsing a copy to DC.

Every school as per the guidelines has been directed to constitute anti-ragging committees and school-level anti-ragging squads to prevent ragging incident.

This was highlighted in appreciation letter of Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society (APWWS) to the DC, in Wednesday edition of this daily.
