Youth Band Music leaves audience spellbound

TEZU | Aug 13| Youth Band Music through its lively concert left the audience spell bound during the golden jubilee celebration of All India Radio here on Saturday.

The AIR deserves appreciation for its glorious service during 1967 to 2017. The concert also coincided with International Youth Day with a message: Say no to Drug and AIDS.

A Mishmi Hill from Lower Dibang Valley, Mortician from Lohit and Anjaw Band jointly rocked  with their best Hollywood, modern and old Bollywood numbers. The concert exposed hidden talent and versatile voice of Jai Kishan Pul, Hana Mimi, Sabanlu Ama from Anjaw and Lohit and Nisan Linggi from Roing with their melodious voice. Thunderous applause and cheers from audience punctuated the programme.

Senior medical officer Dr S Towang, in his address, said that drugs abuse and trafficking have affected entire world. The youth being most vulnerable easily fall prey in its vicious cycle, he said and advised them to live a drugs free life as drugged life is completely detrimental to psychological, physical and economic status of an individual, family and the society.
